I like going to the movies.

I saw a TON of movies in 2007. It was awesome. To commemorate a year of awesome-movie-watching I’ve compiled a “Best Of” list that does nothing more than give you a category, a photo and I title. I guess I could write up lengthy explanations for each but, really, it speaks for itself. And if you have any questions, that’s what the comment section is for, (except, obviously, on Tumblr). I’m not a critic, I don’t see every movie. But here are a few that I did see and what I thought of them. Huzzah.

THE BEST FILM OF 2007:

The Savages

FIRST RUNNER UP:

Ratatouille

SECOND RUNNER UP:

Michael Clayton

OTHER GOOD MOVIES:
Grindhouse, Superbad, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Hairspray

BIGGEST DISAPOINTMENT:

Pirates of the Carribbean: At World’s End

SECOND BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT

Spider-Man 3

BEST “GUILTY PLEASURE”:

Transformers

MOST OVERRATED:

Juno

NOT AS GOOD AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN:

Eastern Promises

EXACTLY AS GOOD AS IT COULD HAVE BEEN:

Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix

MOVIES THAT ARE DIFFICULT TO JUDGE ON QUALITY BECAUSE IT VARIES SO MUCH:
(TIE!)

Halloween

I Am Legend

SUPPOSEDLY GOOD MOVIE I DON’T REALLY CARE MUCH ABOUT SEEING:

Knocked Up

A MOVIE I THOUGHT WAS AWESOME THAT NOBODY SAW:

Fay Grim

STRAIGHT UP RIDICULOUS:

National Treasure: Book of Secrets

BETTER THAN IT HAD ANY RIGHT TO BE:

Disturbia

THREE FILMS RELEASED IN 2007 THAT I REALLY WANT TO SEE BUT PROBABLY WON’T UNTIL 2008:

The Nines

Southland Tales

There Will Be Blood

BEST MOVIE OF 2006 THAT I DIDN’T SEE UNTIL 2007:

The Prestige

MOST ANTICIPATED FOR 2008:

The Dark Knight
